Lines
2016 – 2018, A joint work by Katja Gragert & Uwe Langmann
Our modern landscapes, urban and rural, are traversed by lines in different shapes and forms. Cables, fences, wires, cords and many more are cutting through the open spaces between buildings, trees and even the big skies over fields. To most people these Lines may appear out of place, unaesthetic or even ugly. Because of this People start to ignore them, ban them out of their perception. You could say that the omnipresence of Lines in our surroundings ultimately renders them invisible for most of us. In our collaborative series „Lines“ Katja Gragert and I devote our whole attention to these blemishes in the sky and their wholly unique aesthetic.
